As always when I get home I turn on ESPN and watch sports center even though its usually about Roger “Juice Box” Clemens these days….but today something sparked my attention… The word from an espn analyst is that there might be conversation between the Cowboys and The Randy Moss. I am a little skeptical about this but at the same time intrigued.
Could Big D handle 2 high profile receivers???????? ( T.O. and Moss) I say yes, only because Moss had 24 TD’s in 07. Why not give Ol’ Tony another receiver that CAN catch unlike someone who I wont mention ….COUGH!! Patrick “Stone-hands” Crayton…COUGH! On the other hand Moss would probably try and get at least a 10 million dollar (or more) deal…Which we would be wise to use that money in an area more needed like say…….SECONDARY???
OH JERRY ARE THOUGHTS OF RANDY MOSS AND T.O. KEEPING YOU AWAKE AT NIGHT??? ONLY TIME (AND MONEY) WILL TELL!

Liars,Cheats,Drugs, and Baseball
This subject has worn out its welcome with not only me, but I am sure many of you. For some reason though, it is hard for me not to be immensely intrigued by it. Well I know what that reason is! It stems from my deep love of the game of baseball. As much as I love the Cowboys, they can never take the place of my first love “The National Past Time”!
The two constants in my life since birth have been the game of baseball, and the Cowboys! I have since grown a great deal and now understand that those two things are both, out of my control, and largely infected by the worst kind of human beings! As much as I would prefer to write on this blog that I created, about what kind of positional changes the boys need to be focusing on this off season, I am immeasurably compelled to write about this nonsense that has taken place in Washington. I have thought to myself several times that I would not write about this on my blog, but after what I have just watched I feel obligated to speak out about the game I so dearly love.
You are not going to hear me say that all of this crap has been done by one side or the other; all of the parties involved share all of the responsibility of the collapse of this once precious game. This entire finger pointing malarkey is disgusting and vile, it makes my stomach turn. We have got grown men who have profited more than I can ever imagine, from playing a game, lying not only to themselves, there families, there children, law makers, investigators, and most damning us, the people that pay to watch them play. Evidently I am the only one that views this as disgusting, because otherwise the media would not be force feeding us this grocery store check out trash! I have heard more than one person tell me that they do not care if these players took steroids, I myself have said this, but the more I think about it the more it pisses me off! We as fans have become so engrossed by the “highlight reel” that we have lost the one true feature of baseball, The Game. The game is what has really kept us watching, and paying good money to go see, although I do understand that many people go to these games merely because it is the hip thing to do, and that a lot of today’s baseball fans go for the atmosphere rather than, the intricacies of the game (you know the hit and run, the double steal), but when you remove all of that crap what is left? the game! Yea sure a 450 foot homerun is awesome to see, but is that really why you watch? I certainly hope not!
I will continue to follow baseball, and will follow my teams! I will not however love the game like I once did, and that makes me very sad! So to all of you who are responsible for this travesty ( Bud Selig, MLB owners, MLB players) I hope you all enjoy your millions, and your giant homes, fancy cars, and all the luxuries that I will never see. To those of you that feel this steroid madness has not changed anything I have a question I would like for you to ponder and then respond back, I am very curious as to what I might be missing.
What is it that first brought you to the game of baseball?
Rangers make headlines and not of the stupid variety

Well, well, well it’s about damn time! Finally the Texas Rangers have done something to make headline news without mortgaging the team! Word came down today that (My all time Favorite pitcher) Nolan Ryan has been offered and accepted the Team President position. This move will go down as Mr. Hicks greatest move since purchasing the team, real earth shattering statement I made! Well it was a toss up between this hiring and the signing of Jason Jennings (being highly sarcastic), but seriously this hopefully is a sign of the Rangers putting baseball people in place to turn this losing thing around.
I believe that with Nolan running not only the business day to day, but also being involved with personnel decisions that they can really follow through with the youth movement. Nolan could possibly be the one person that Hicks respects enough, and trust’s enough to turn the controls over to!
Good Job Tom now all you need to do is leave the check book on the table, and get your ass out of his way!!!
WHAT!!

What the hell are the Phoenix Suns thinking? “The Matrix” for “Diesel”???????
This may very well be one of the dumbest, knee jerk trades of all time! Are the Suns so concerned about the Lakers, that they would change their whole team?
Don’t get me wrong this is a great trade for the Miami Heat. The Heat moves an absolutely ridiculous contract, and gains a great player (Marion can opt out of his contract at the end of the year).Lets face it Shaq has not done much of anything the last few years and spends more time being injured than he does actually playing.
SALARY PPG RPG ASST. FG% FT%
To Phoenix: 2yrs @ 40m 14.2 7.8 1.4 58.1 48.2
To Miami: 2yrs @ 36m 15.8 9.9 2.1 52.6 71.3
4yrs @ 16.5m 5.2 0.8 1.0 40.4 75.0
This is what we have to look forward to
I saw this on KSK (kissing suzy kolber) and thought to myself wow these are the types of giants fans we (Cowboy Fans) will get to see and here from for a long, long time! UGH!
2007 Position Grades
This time of year is such a transition time of year as football season is over ( except for the pro bowl) basketball season is just beginning to become worth watching, and baseball well we still have some time before spring training begins. So I have decided to do a positional breakdown year end review! This will be a weekly series starting with the quarterback position. I will do my best to analyze each position as accurate as possible. I hope you enjoy!
Let’s begin from the bottom up here! So that brings us to:

(3) Richard Bartel in 2007 was a member of the practice squad as the Cowboys consider him a project player. Bartel who played collegiate at Tarelton State was an undrafted free agent pick up for the Boys. He went through training camp and was then released. The team however did sign him to the practice squad where he tries to improve his game to make the squad next season. Obviously the Cowboys see something in this kid as they recently resigned him. Bartel possesses excellent size at 6’4” 233lbs. excellent arm strength (cannon!) and accuracy. He needs to work on his technique and mobility (can you say statue!) to give him a chance of making this team in 2008.
Overall Grade: I (incomplete not seen enough to grade)

(2) Brad Johnson in 2007 was the veteran backup to Tony Romo and this should not change in ’08. Brad provides much needed insurance, and experience behind Romo. Other than carrying a clipboard we did not see much of Brad this past season and let’s hope it stays this way (no offense Brad!). He provides leadership and post season experience (although we could use more of him to break this December crumble that we have going). All Brad needs to do this year is what he has been doing for 16 years now and that is just have himself mentally and physically ready to play.
Overall Grade: B

(1) Tony Romo in 2007 had a breakout year he was stellar all year minus a game here and there (see buffalo WOW). This was supposed to be the year that he unraveled! With the bobbled snap in Seattle in ‘06 everyone thought he would not recover. Recover he did became the first Cowboy quarterback to throw for 4,000 yards (pretty impressive when you consider the company) and he made great strides in becoming the leader of this football team. I know some of you will point out his somewhat childish fit in the playoff loss to the Giants but I will give him a pass on this due to the fact that you would be pissed off too if everyone you threw the ball to could not catch! (Patrick Crayton, Anthony Fasano) I expect nothing but improvement from Tony over the summer. I will say this again Jessica Simpson has absolutely no affect on his performance so everyone stop with it already (maybe they will badger Tom Brady for awhile now). I would like to see Tony work on his decision making skills before next year begins to cut down on some of the poor decisions ( like throwing the ball away instead of taking the sack!)
Overall Grade: A- (did a lot of good but still more work to do)
