All this talk about Terrell Owens feeling betrayed by Jerry Jones is just a waste of everyone’s time. Now I’ve said for a long time that Owens has issues, but that his production usually outweighed his issues by enough to keep him around. I’ve said that this team could move into the 09 season with Owens and be just fine. But obviously it didn’t and they won’t.
The problems Owens caused were usually rather trivial and didn’t amount to very much until the media got a hold of it, then suddenly every fan had an opinion of it as I’m sure each player and coach did as well. Never mind whether or not these coaches and players knew the whole story or witnessed it and knew things about it each time that the media did not, the media was able to color every story to their own needs. Often, the media was given an extra push by the words of some of the players.

Cowboys Nostalgia: Cliff Harris
A receding hairline, a mustache known around the whole league, and skills to match only those of legends. Cliff Harris is a relative unknown throughout the Cowboys fan community, but his play and dedication is historic for sure.
Harris was undrafted out of Ouachita Baptist, and was invited to join Landry and the Cowboys at minicamp in 1970. Harris’ hard hitting and crisp coverage skills landed him in the starting spot in his rookie year, beating out Charlie Waters as starting Free Safety. However, his rookie season was cut short due to Military obligations that took him out of the second half of the season. Luckily he returned in time for the cowboys Super Bowl VI victory. In his first season he had 2 Interceptions.

It was Harris’ powerful and devastating hits that earned him the nickname “Captain Crush” but his intelligence and football skills that earned him the 29 interceptions throughout his career. Harris’ has been said to be the molder of safeties and the way they were bred throughout the later years of the NFL. His hard hitting, ball hawking skills made offensive coordinators stay up all night, quarterbacks second guess, and running backs and wide receivers quiver.
For the younger audience you could imagine him a consistent rookie Roy Williams, who awed us with his well-rounded dominant play. Harris is a small name because he never made an off the field ruckus. He came to work did his job and went home. In 9 seasons Harris’ accomplishments include: Winning 2 Super Bowls, he was elected to 6 Pro Bowls, He created 47 turnovers, and has been inducted into the Cowboys Ring of Honor. Harris’ was elected for the Hall Of Fame ballot and 2004 and many experts expect him to one day sit in Canton with may other fellow legends.
NFL Looks Into Expanding Season

Looks as though a major topic during the collective bargaining agreement will be a possible extension of the regular season schedule! Check it out Here
Dallas Cowboys Offense Looks For A Change Of Direction
In 2007 the Dallas offense was firing on all cylinders! Most opponents that year came into the game not looking to stop them, but just to slow them down a bit. Many of them could do neither, but a few made the necessary adjustments to force the Cowboys into bad situations, and even worse decisions. Late in the season there was one team in particular discovered the recipe for Cowboy disaster. By the time this recipe was discovered it was far to late in the season for the coaching staff to stop the full speed locomotive, that was on a head on collision course with the Super Bowl hyped Cowboys.
This train continued into 2008 as we are all well aware of. The question now is what will happen in 2009 to change this teams direction?

Riddle Me this Cowboys Fan’s (Draft)
Two years (1992) before the NFL switched to a seven-round draft format (1994). The team actually made 15 selections that year, most notably Darren Woodson in the second round.
[This year the Cowboys are loaded with middle- and late-round picks, having been awarded two more compensatory selections (a fifth and sixth) on Monday. That makes 11 in all -- a second, a third, two fourths, three fifths, two sixths and two sevenths.] Rob Phillips
Dallas highest number of draft picks other than this years since 1994, was 10 in 1995 and nine in 1996, 1997, 1998, 2001, 2002.
My questions to you all is this; of the second, a third, two fourths, three fifths, two sixths and two sevenths. That Dallas has will they bundle some of them together and move up, and if so how high.
And take a guess for me and tell me what round will we hit on, and that player produce like Woodson, if at all…….
Tell me what you think………
Can Miles Austin Step Up
Roster: #19 Miles Austin Wide Receiver Dallas
Rec Yds 278 Yds/Game 30.9 TD 3
Miles Austin is a restricted free agent, but I don’t see him going anywhere this year. And if he does the things being asked of him, I don’t see him going anywhere next year. Austin is being given a chance that is not often given to players whom enter the NFL the way he did.
As a project Player athletically-gifted, raw in skills, and low on the coaches list.
Dallas Cowboys 2009 Mock Draft

As we make the turn towards the final week of March, the next big question for Cowboys fans is what will Jerry and the Cowboys do with their eleven draft picks? We all know the needs, and where they will be making selections, but what we do not know is how will they use them!
I started this project with the thought that I would do two versions. The first version was going to be just using the 11 picks that the Cowboys currently have. Then I thought I would try to mock what the Boys may do, as far as moving up and down. Strange thing happened though! After completing my initial Mock, I realized that if they were able to walk away from the draft with these players, I would be completely satisfied!
Now I understand that this team is not going to draft eleven players, but Jerry can have another very successful draft.
Take a look and let me know what you guys think.

Will Wade Phillips lead Dallas to the Promise Land
Wade Phillips has just received another vote of confidence from Jerry Jones.
I myself have my doubts; I guess I am old school I believe you need discipline to win a Super Bowl. I am like a lot of others I have great respect for his defensive coaching abilities.
So let’s take a look at Phillips history;
