You’ve come to this page to see exactly what “Writers Wanted” means and surprise, surprise—it means that we want more writers on DCNation.

It’s not complicated, and it’s not only for the Henry Thoreau’s of the world either.

All it takes is a passion for the Cowboys and the game of football in general, along with the time and some drive to articulate yourself in a manner worth reading. So that sounds a little complicated, if it does then this might not be for you.

DCNation is about passion. It’s about opinions and, at times, being wrong.

We make predictions, we have theories, and we even make promises and guarantees based on nothing more than a fans perspective from his/her comfy couch. That’s the point.

We see ideas and possibilities, problems and solutions, and we run with them. It doesn’t take a linguistic mastermind to do this stuff—it simply takes a little heart.

That’s why we want more writers to join us here. We’ve got enough writers to do just fine in the future…we’ve made it this far, right?

But this site is called Dallas Cowboys Nation for a reason. It’s about the fans.

We want as many Dallas Cowboys fans as we can find to entertain other fans with meaningless speculation, wild guesses, and cutthroat admonishments. We want someone to help us show the bandwagon fans just what they’re missing out on by not taking a serious stand with their team at all times.

Maybe we want you.

The way it works is simple—if you can write with decent grammar and make a succinct and coherent point, then you’ve got the chops. If you can use your email account from Yahoo or Gmail, then you can use the system here. All you have to do is send me a message and let me know what you’re up for.

We do have our own little master plan here and we don’t always have it sketched out and never set in stone.

So if you’re interested, whether it be to become a regular writer or simply to try it out once as either a test, a challenge, or even just to get a certain message out there that’s been rattling you for a while, I want you to go back up to the menu where you found this link.

Then, once the links drop down from it, pick one that sounds right for you. Each one is an area (or job opening, so to speak) that we’re specifically looking for people to fill.

The thing about this deal is that many of us have some sort of grand notion that we could one day be a famous writer, though almost as many never do anything to get there.

This could be a chance to start somewhere. Or, this could be a chance to kill some free time. That’s entirely up to you.

Just remember to tell us your name, a little about why you want to write for us (so we know what to do with you), what area you’ve chosen from our list of openings, and if and where you’ve ever written or blogged before so we can check you out.
